Two studies have found that alcohol in moderation can be beneficial for your heart. Researchers found that people who drank wine, liquor, or beer daily had better cardiovascular health and were less susceptible to heart failure and heart attacks than non-drinkers. Authors of one of the studies stated that alcohol leads to more good cholesterol, but can also cause higher blood pressure. The major takeaway of this study is that having three to five drinks a week can be beneficial for your heart, but any more than that can be detrimental. Read more here.
